We're more than just energy assessors

Our core business is providing energy ratings on new and existing residences New South Wales, ACT and nationally. With over 40 years in the building and construction industry Darrell is able to provide expert advice on how to increase the Thermal Comfort of your home while reducing energy requirements. The result is reducing heating and cooling costs while creating a healtier more comfortable living spaces. Darrell recognises the responsibility we all have when building a new home- altering the land by excavating and building a structure which will forever change that landscape. There should be a holistic approach to creating a safe, healthy, comfortable, efficient, attractive (in the eye of the beholder) home that will last for many, many decades. It's not that hard nor does it need to be expensive. The inspiration for transioning from builder to energy assessor was a desire to offer some practicle relief to Australians with increasing energy bills, particularly older Aussies living in uncomfortable, older homes. It is a challange but one that should be confronted. The "greatest generation" deserve better. As a senior member of the community it is natural to offer some assistance.

With over 40 years experience in the building and construction industry Darrell is able to provide expert advice on how to increase the thermal comfort of your home while reducing energy requirements. The result is reducing heating and cooling costs while creating a healtier more comfortable living spaces. As a licensed builder he knows how the building envelope is required to be sealed, insulation installed, windows installed, doors sealed, light fittings installed, exhaust fans with dampers, condensation addressed, etc., all in conjunstion with structural, termite control, bush fire prone area requirements.

How it works

1 Start process
Purpose of assessment established. Check design documentation complete for assessment.
2 Rating process
Draft rating completed for client review. Implement any required changes & fi Thermal assessment completed.
3 Certification
Assessment file uploaded to software portal. NatHERS certificate & stamped plans returned to client to be provided to certifier/council for DA/BA, (including BASIX Certificate NSW only)
4 Quality control
Assessor Accrediting Organisation review & quality assessment.
